Pupil Voice
Pupil voice in schools means a whole-school commitment to listening to the views, wishes and experiences of all children. It means placing value on what children tell school staff about their experiences.
Children need to be provided with meaningful opportunities to share their experiences, views and hopes about their school. Pupils need to know that it is safe and that it is important for them to express their views on what happens at school. They need to know that what they say is valued and will be listened to and considered.
At Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery we promote pupil voice in a number of ways. Take a look at these below.
Wellbeing Ambasadors
At Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery, we recognise the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing for all our pupils to lead a happy, healthy and productive life. It is important for pupils to have a voice, be able to contribute ideas and influence how to improve the wellbeing of their peers and the wider school community. We are proud to have a group of children appointed by their peers as Wellbeing Ambassadors to help drive through positive change and support the whole school community.
Meet the Ambassadors
Wellbeing Ambassadors provide feedback on what’s working well and highlight any gaps in our whole-school approaches to wellbeing. The role of our Wellbeing Ambassadors also include:
- Promoting positive mental health
- Helping to support other pupils with health and wellbeing issues they maybe experiencing
- Getting people talking about mental health and sharing their experiences
- Helping to supporting and organising specific events & celebrating mental health awareness days
- Leading a range of activities within the school that promote health & wellbeing e.g. assemblies, circle times etc
- Signposting pupils to access support in our school
- Having regular contact with a designated member of staff responsible for overseeing their wellbeing
- Sharing good news stories
Digital Leaders
Digital Leaders play a key role in managing and supporting the use of technology at our school.
Meet our Digital leaders
Our Role as Digital Leaders: We are passionate about the positive impact of ICT in our school and work hard to enhance our knowledge and skills with technology. We assist teachers during assemblies by managing PowerPoints and other technical equipment. Additionally, we test new apps, software, and websites, creating tutorials to help both teachers and students use them effectively. We also help maintain the iPads, laptops, and computers in the ICT suite and actively promote e-safety throughout the school.
Library Monitors
For anyone who has visited our school, it will come as no surprise that we LOVE reading at Limes Farm Infant School! Not only does every class have their own reading corner but we have our own wonderful library to explore. It is a bright and welcoming space full of interesting and varied books to tempt and excite every reader and cosy and comfortable seating to sit back and enjoy a book. Our classes visit the library every week and select a new book to take home every week.
Our Library Monitors help to keep our books tidy and in order. They remove any damaged books and ensure that our Library remains an inviting place to visit.

Play Leaders
Our play leaders help to make play times fun! They support the younger children during lunchtimes and encourage friendships during our playtimes.
In addition, they help to organise outdoor play equipment so there is something to play each day and lots of different skills and games to play.
