Parents Association

As a parent at the school you are automatically a member of the PA and we also warmly welcome grandparents, carers, former parents and friends to get involved in our events.

We encourage you to attend the PA AGM which is held at the beginning of each school year to find out more about the PA. This is also when the Committee is elected. PA meetings are then held every half term and are also open to anyone interested.

The Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery PTA are a small, friendly group of parents and family members who work together to arrange fund-raising events and activities to raise much needed extra funds for the children and our school. We have raised funds which have provided many extra facilities that have enriched the school life.

Our emphasis is on 'fun' and we try to ensure that the events that we hold are enjoyable for all, especially the children. Throughout the year we aim to arrange several different activities and we welcome any suggestions that you may have for new fund-raising opportunities. We appreciate the great support that we receive from parents and staff and we look forward to building on our success.

How can I get involved? 

• Come along to the next PA meeting and just listen, then if you feel up to volunteering for something, you can start small or help out with organising an event!
• Even if you don’t have much time, attending your school’s PA meetings is an excellent way to stay on top of what’s happening at the school and to connect with other parents and school leaders.
• We are also keen to help the school tap into the wealth of Limes Farm families’ talents: if, for example, you are a keen gardener, photographer, graphic designer or have an interesting job that you could talk to the children about, we would love to hear from you.
• Or simply COME ALONG & SUPPORT OUR EVENTS!

Why do we do this?

It’s important to realise that without the assistance that the PA provides the school would have to sacrifice funding from other budget areas to make these options possible for our children, or worse, not offer these things at all!

What does the money get spent on?

ALL the money raised by the PA goes back into the School. We ensure that the money is used for the benefit of all the children at the school.

The Christmas presents that Santa brings, the refreshments at our leavers disco and many more are all either wholly or part-funded by the PA.
