Remembrance Day

Today we had a special remembrance assembly where we learnt about Remembrance Day.

We discussed the importance of the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month. We spoke about being thankful and how different coloured poppies represent different people and even animals during the war.

We watched a short clip of the poppies growing on Flanders field as a sign of hope, we observed a minutes silence as well as listened to some of our year two pupils who recited some fantastic poems. The children across the school made various poppies during their art lesson.
