Children’s Mental Health Week 2026

Today all the children attended a wellbeing assembly to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week 2026. This year’s theme is “This is my place.” We talked about how important it is for children to feel that they belong. Our aim is to support the systems around children and young people so they feel included, valued and supported. Belonging is the feeling of being a valued part of the groups and places that are important to us. It means feeling cared for and comfortable to be ourselves. As part of this, the children completed a lovely activity exploring their own sense of belonging by creating a personal map. This included places, groups, activities, or even special people and feelings (not just physical places) where they feel they belong.
