Online Safety
What is Online Safety?
For many of us, we see our online lives and offline lives as different.
However, children are growing up with technology and the internet, so for them, there isn’t a difference at all! We know that the 'online' world can sometimes be daunting for Parents and Carers, so have created a dedicated hub, with useful videos, tips, newsletters and advice.
At Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery we are committed to ensuring our children navigate the online world safely. We prioritise our Children's mental health and wellbeing, both online and in day to day situations. We want to support our children to be able to use the Internet in a confident, curious and cautious manner. We equip our children with the right tools to spot potential dangers and empower them to make safe choices. This is further supported by all staff at our School being approachable and fully aware of our e- safety protocols.
Online Safety features across our Curriculum, in a range of subjects. There is an Online Safety focused Computing lesson at the beginning of every half term, across the School and Nursery. During PHSE, Teachers often refer to online issues and have frequent, age appropriate discussions. We also encourage discussions and dialogue with our Parents and Carers, listening and responding to concerns and keeping engaged with relevant new 'hot' topics. If you have any concerns or questions regarding online safety and your child, please speak to your child's class Teacher and they will signpost you to the information or support you need.
